The baubles are tucked away, Elf On The Shelf has retired for the year, and your Christmas Tree needs to be retired too. Where to dispose of your Christmas Tree? Good news – Hong Kong’s EPD provides a free tree recycling program in Hong Kong from January 3 to 7, 2024.
The Environmental Protection Department (EPD) will hire a contractor to provide a Christmas tree recycling service after the Christmas holiday this year, in which the natural Christmas trees collected will be processed for producing mulches, composting materials, etc. Members of the public and organizations can deliver unwanted Christmas trees to specific collection points during the specific collection period on Hong Kong Island, as well as in Kowloon and the New Territories; click here for all collection points.
