Clockenflap has built a reputation for showcasing the best indie acts from around the world, and this year's lineup is no exception. Revered by critics and adored by fans, IDLES are set to bring their explosive live show to Central Harbourfront, joined by fellow British post-punkers Squid. The stage will also be graced by the acclaimed U.K. alternative-indie band PREP, Yorkshire rockers Yard Act, and the talented Canadian singer-songwriter Andy Shauf.
For fans seeking fresh sounds or aiming to indulge their musical curiosity, the December 2023 edition of Clockenflap offers an abundance of choices. China's post-rock pioneers Wang Wen and U.S. post-rock veterans Caspian will demonstrate their mastery of the genre. Beijing-based post-punk duo Gong Gong Gong will captivate new audiences with their unique stripped-back sound, while Japanese punk band Otoboke Beaver promises an electrifying performance.
As always, Clockenflap presents an eclectic lineup of DJs and top electronic acts guaranteed to ignite the dancefloor and get your feet moving. Renowned DJ/producer and former Underworld member Darren Emerson will make his long-awaited Clockenflap debut, while Australian electro-house maestros Peking Duk return to the festival after their 2018 appearance. Other highlights include the UK's bass-driven champions Deekline & Ed Solo, Berlin-based DJ/producer and owner of 803 Crystal Grooves label Cinthie, and Hong Kong's very own classical and jazz violinist-turned-DJ/producer Xiaolin.
